Sweet Dumplings


  • Dried yam powder
  • Glutinous rice flour
  • Unglutent flour
1 tbsp
  • Ginger slices for taste
  • Brown sugar for taste
Dumpling filling:

  • Black sesame paste
2-3 tbsp
  • Sugar
  • Lard
Sweet Dumplings
Cooking Method:

  1. Mix black sesame paste, sugar and lard together; cool in refrigerator for 30 minutes until firm, divide into small cubes as dumpling fillings, set aside;
  2. Sieve glutinous rice flour, unglutent flour and dried yam powder into a large bowl, add adequate warm water, rub and mix it by hand to form a soft dough, divide the dough into small portion, put a filling cube into it, use hand to roll into a round dumpling, set aside;
  3. Add ginger slides, brown sugar and adequate water to your Heart-Shaped Casserole, bring to boil on medium low heat until sugar dissolve;
  4. Add dumpling into the pot, put the lid on and turn the heat off immediately, leave to stand for about 10-15 minutes, bowl up sever hot.
